Bold. Balanced. Slightly bitter. Just like your favorite people.

There's a twist - just not the one you think.
Hi Reader!
I'm keeping it short and sweet this week, because today's July 4th and I've got the day off and have drinks to mix. Cheers!
If you like your Old Fashioneds with a twist, this one’s got a little something extra. I'm calling it the Forty-Three Fade, and it’s built on bourbon, sweetened with a splash of Licor 43, and layered with orange and Angostura bitters. But here’s the move: a few drops of lemon bitters right on top. It’s warm, spiced, and just citrusy enough to keep you coming back. Think late summer sunsets in a glass.
“Vanilla? Citrus? Bourbon? Yes.”
It's a smooth bourbon cocktail with layers of vanilla, spice, and a citrus twist. No garnish required—just a few drops of flair.
Enjoy! And as always, if you make this one yourself, I'd love to know how you liked it.
