Meet the Mint Condition—a garden-grown gin drink with bold energy
Hi Reader!
You ever pull a chocolate mint leaf from the garden and think, “This needs gin?” Same.
Now, I know—this is "Bourbony," not, well, "Ginny." But I made this the other day when it was a bazillion degrees outside and, man, did it cool me down.
Gin, lemon, chocolate mint—and zero regard for tradition.
The Mint Condition is bright, crisp, and loaded with herbal depth thanks to fresh chocolate mint, lemon juice, and a mint simple syrup that does all the heavy lifting. It’s summer in a glass—with a little mischief.
This one’s a great excuse to pull out the good glasses, even if it’s just you and your garden. Pair it with a little goat cheese crostini (recipe on the site!), something salty, or a square of dark chocolate and you’re basically doing self-care. It’s low effort, high reward—and that’s my kind of cocktail moment.
